CLimate resilience Public Sculpture,
Cape May Technical Institute, RiSC Program.
A group of seniors in the Cape May Technical Institute's RiSC Program decided to focus their final project on a pressing coastal issue: trash washing up on the beaches. They envisioned a large beach ball, a universal symbol of summer fun, to highlight the importance of keeping our beaches safe and clean. This playful symbol serves as a reminder that enjoying the beach requires a commitment to preserving its beauty. Unfortunately, trash continues to wash ashore, posing risks to wildlife, children, and beachgoers alike.
Currently on display outside the Cape May Technical Institute.
Thank you to the NJ Audubon and the RiSC Resilient Schools and Communities for supporting this important project!
